My name is Sarah, I was born in Brazil. I lived there for 21 years before I came to Canada. I graduated from Electronics as a technician at ETAM, which is a technical school in the Brazilian Navy. Since I studied inside of a shipyard, my technical knowledge was focused in this environment, so I’ve learned specific vocabulary and software such as AutoCAD 3D and FORAN. After that, I started my university studies in Pharmacy, at a Federal university called Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). In 2017, my father had the opportunity to work in Canada, so he invited me and my sisters to move with him, so I left my University and started my studies in Video Games Programming.
I’ve done a lot of volunteer work back in Brazil, from being a clown to leading teams and helping organize events. I just started working here, in Canada, in 2018. However, it was not related to Video Games.
I’ve experienced different fields of studies and met different people, I’ve worked with arts, studied chemistry and biology in university, and I’ve done a program that was mostly related to electronic engineering. All of it made me very flexible, adaptive and stimulated to always try to create common ground between different topics.
